Three weeks backpacking Europe with my wife on two weeks of planning. There is a whole Earthbook album about this. This is the poetic rendition of that album.

Could it be or is my head just full of lucid dreams? Are these thoughts of fiction born in reality? Are my stories as real or fake as they seem?

I swear I could feel the glass held above the rails. I swear I remember staring into marble skulls. Traveling along the sea. I swear the glass always fit the drink, that those tortured souls still are there, that evil is not deceased, that the earth still has purity.

Could it be that all I've learned will stay with me?

Are we far away yet? How far away did we get? Sun and moon rise offset. Nylon weight pulling sweat. Holding hands, burning legs, hunting water praying for shade.
