Miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles by map, but we still ran out of time and wished for more miles and dirt roads to track and traverse, drive and reverse, get lost and return. We became trained to live with all days. We had fun under the midnight sun and I love you under the red hot moon.

Europa 03:57
Could it be or is my head just full of lucid dreams? Are these thoughts of fiction born in reality? Are my stories as real or fake as they seem? I swear I could feel the glass held above the rails. I swear I remember staring into marble skulls. Traveling along the sea. I swear the glass always fit the drink, that those tortured souls still are there, that evil is not deceased, that the earth still has purity. Could it be that all I've learned will stay with me? Are we far away yet? How far away did we get? Sun and moon rise offset. Nylon weight pulling sweat. Holding hands, burning legs, hunting water praying for shade. Validated ticket checked: Chasing what's next.
3.
Spectacular heat and humidity. Long sleeved locals in pants. Backwards drives and lanes take us through enchanted lands with gold dedications and lush green plants. Sleep up on the roof, sweat each night through except those with mountain views. Onigiri and 711 beers and sake and mystery foods. I’ll spend years sorting these memories, delicately treasuring each piece of architecture, cuisine, culture, tradition, people, friendship, nature. Not all change is made in grand display and not all steps take place without hesitation, but what forever waits is never gained so I open up my arms to the world.
